Although petite in stature, Essie Lee INGLETT had a commanding energy about her.

Essie Lee INGLETT

Essie was born on the 7th of November 1893 in Columbia County, Georgia.  She grew up to marry William Washington BARKER on the 13th of November 1917.  Four years later Essie gave birth to Evelyn Roberta BARKER DEAN.  Essie died in Augusta, Georgia on the 23rd of December 1980.  A future post will feature two letters written by Essie in 1977.
